Geeks Coding Challenge (GCC) is a three-day coding event commencing from 27 Dec 2019. It is a free event to allow all the coding techies out there to showcase their skills and win prizes worth more than 6 lakhs including several cash prizes.

How to participate in GCC?

Click on the Register Now button above. You will need an invite code in order to register successfully for the challenge. Once registered, each and every participant will receive a discount coupon of INR 300 by GeeksforGeeks.

  • You reach out to your campus ambassador in order to get the invitation code. If you are not aware of the campus ambassador from your campus, feel free to reach out to us at geeks.classes@geeksforgeeks.org
  • If you have already bought any course by GeeksforGeeks, kindly check your mail inbox to get your invitation code
  • You can also ask for an invite code from a friend who has bought a paid course from GfG

Once you are registered for the GCC, brush up your coding skills and be ready for the first round on 27 Dec 2019.

The Geeks Coding Challenge is divided into three rounds of increasing difficulty level. Details of all the three rounds are as follows:

ROUND 1: All the registered candidates will appear for a coding challenge on 27 Dec 2019. It will be a 90 minutes challenge starting from 8:00 PM IST till 9:30 PM IST. Top 250 performers from this challenge will proceed to the second round of the contest.

ROUND 2: Top 250 coders from Day 1 will compete in Round 2 on 28 Dec 2019. It will be a 120 minutes challenge starting from 8:00 PM IST till 10:00 PM IST. Top 100 performers from this challenge will proceed to the final round of the contest. 

ROUND 3: Top 100 coders from Day 2 will compete in this final round on 29 Dec 2019 to make it to the top spots. It will be a 120 minutes challenge starting from 8:00 PM IST till 10:00 PM IST.

Instructions:

Instructions for ROUND 1 to be held on 27th Dec 2019 :

  • Any type of plagiarism will not be entertained. In case, anyone is found guilty, the score of the concerned participants will be dropped to 0.
  • You can score a maximum of 400 marks in this contest.
  • There are 4 coding questions of 100 marks each.
  • There is a 5% penalty (on maximum marks) for each wrong submission. For example, if a problem is of 100 marks and a participant makes a wrong submission, the new maximum marks for that participant are reduced to 95. After the next wrong submission of the same problem, the new maximum marks are further reduced to 90.25 and so on. So, it is suggested to use 'Compile & Test' against sample test cases. the option before each submission.
  • Languages supported for the contest are C++, Java and Python.
  • Note: Make sure other participants don't have access to your code. In case you are using any other online coding environment, you are responsible for the privacy of your code
  •  It is advised to attempt the Sample Geeks Challenge to get familiar with the GeeksforGeeks coding environment

Solve as many problem(s) as you can before the time runs out and based on the accuracy of your correct submission you will get the scores.
